How we give back
Kindling Financial has a passion for giving back to our community. In September, we donated a day of our services to help Habitat for Humanity. Half of our team framed out walls while the others painted baseboard and window sills at their production shop.
This was a great experience. The people at Habitat for Humanity were kind enough to let us come and help them for a day, even with our varying experience levels.
Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver builds and sells homes to hard-working people in need of decent and affordable housing.
Habitat was founded on the conviction that everyone deserves a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all. Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver has served more than 800 families throughout its 39-year history in Denver.
This was the first of many Kindling Financial community activities. We plan to continue our community involvement with multiple quality organizations in the coming years. For example, next year we plan to participating in the 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer's through the Alzheimer’s Foundation here in Denver, Colorado.
Waddell & Reed cares
I’m proud to be aligned with a firm that gives back as well. Since its founding in 1937, Waddell & Reed has consistently been a strong supporter of community, cultural and charitable causes regionally and nationally.
It provides a platform for two types of philanthropic and charitable support: direct from the company and directly from financial advisors and employees.
In fact, employees and financial advisors are encouraged to select philanthropic organizations and events in which their involvement will have an ongoing and meaningful impact.
